The Effective Portfolio Management programme is transforming the way in which BT Plc deal
with international availability and quotation. As part of the programme BT Plc are consolidating
the existing Global Services quotation and sales tools. This includes the Product Catalogue,
Access Pricing Engine, OLQS and International Quote System.
The existing sales tools noted above contain two functions. These are the ability
to record and manage global reference data relating to product configuration,
availability and price which is used to enable a customer quot6ation for products and
services to be generated. As part of the consolidation the record and
management function is being provided by the Product Management System while the
Quotation capability is being provided by the BT Quotemanager system.
